LOYOLA MARYMOUNT.

Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television was founded in 1967. Hands-on projects begin as early as the first year, and every film and television student is required to complete a senior project, which is screened publicly.

Due to LMU’s proximity to Hollywood, the school's students are exposed to more than 1,000 industry-related internships in film, television, screenwriting, animation, and recording arts. I.F.P.

Each year IFP/Los Angeles holds three intensive Filmmaker Labs for screenwriters, directors, and producers working in independent film. Each Lab runs for seven weeks, with a maximum of ten qualified filmmakers in each. The goal of the Lab program is to help talented filmmakers — writers, producers, and directors — develop their craft and meet film professionals who can help in the development of their careers.
