EMMYS.

The Emmy awards are for television industry excellence. Founded in 1957, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in television with the coveted Emmy Award for News & Documentary, Sports, Daytime, Public Service and Technolog.

GOLDEN GLOBES.

Since 1943, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association awards the Golden Globes to honor achievements in film and television during the calendar year. Founded in October 1943 by eight foreign journalists, the organization was originally called the Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association. The actual Golden Globe award came about in 1946, when association president Marina Cisternas came up with the idea of using a statuette of a "golden globe" with a filmstrip circling it.

C.S.A.'s ARTIOS AWARDS.

In October of 1985, the Casting Society of America presented the first awards for excellence in casting at an Artios Awards® luncheon. Held in the Crystal Room of the Beverly Hills Hotel, the event was attended by more than 500 industry leaders. Seven CSA members were honored in four different casting categories. Three years later, the first Artios for theatrical production was presented (to Johnson-Liff Casting) in an added New York ceremony. Today, members are honored in over eighteen different theatrical casting categories in simultaneous events held in Beverly Hills and New York.

I.D.A. AWARDS.

The IDA Awards Competition is the foremost genre-specific event dedicated to the documentary film. Established in 1984, the Awards are made possible through the generous support of the Eastman Kodak Company.

A.F.I.  AWARDS.

AFI AWARDS is the only form of national recognition that honors the film and television creative ensemble as a whole-those people in front of and behind the camera-acknowledging the collaborative nature of film and television.

ANNIE AWARDS.

Over the years, the Annies have evolved from an inspiration to an honored tradition in the world of animation. June Foray brought the award to life in 1972, and with the help of so many dedicated members of ASIFA-Hollywood, the Annies have played a vital role in recognizing animation’s biggest and brightest stars.

THE SPIRIT  AWARDS.

Hosted annually on the beach in Santa Monica, the Independent Spirit Awards is a celebration honoring filmmakers of independent vision. Televised in millions of homes and covered internationally, the Independent Spirit Awards program has become the vanguard event in independent film, recognizing the achievements of independent filmmakers and promoting independent film to a wider audience.

TELLY AWARDS.

The Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions.

"Since 1978, our mission has been to strengthen the visual arts community by inspiring, promoting, and supporting creativity. We encourage a diverse field of entries. Last year, we received over 10,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents."

STUDENT ACADEMY AWARDS.

The Student Academy Awards is a national competition conducted by the Academy and the Academy Foundation. Each year over 300 college and university film students from all over the United States compete for awards and cash grants, with films being judged in four categories: animation, documentary, narrative and alternative. An outstanding student filmmaker from outside the U.S. is honored each year as well.
