The Georgetown Entertainment and Media Alliance (GEMA) was founded in 2002 in Los Angeles, California, by alumnus Richard Battista (B'86) in conjunction with Georgetown University. The GEMA membership is comprised of Georgetown University alumni, students, and parents who are associated with the entertainment and media industries. Although founded in Southern California, GEMA's membership is open to all regions.
